Our 50-Year Legacy in Martial Arts
Evergreen Taekwondo Academy is the latest evolution of a 50-year legacy in the martial arts. From the 1970s to 2018, Grandmaster Jack Pierce taught thousands of Taekwondo students worldwide. His countless years of teachings influenced many masters and instructors in the PNW. When he passed, his longtime student and friend Master Sean Dalton would take over his school with the Umayam family (Roewyn, Arthur, and Jerahmy). Master Sean Dalton would lead the school in Lynnwood until our relocation to Everett in 2022.
Under Master Dalton and the Umayam's , they followed and innovated the traditions set by Grandmaster Pierce to many students in the surrounding community. In Fall 2024, Master Dalton had purchased Seattle Taekwondo and entrusted the school to Roewyn & Arthur Umayam.
Now under the Umayam family, Evergreen Taekwondo Academy continues the 50-year legacy of providing the greatest martial arts instruction in the Everett, Lynnwood, and Marysville community!

Evergreen Taekwondo Academy is operated by Mr. Roewyn and Mr. Arthur Umayam. Both are 4th-degree Black Belts and work with a dedicated instructor team to promote and pursue the very best training practices in Taekwondo today. We are committed to providing the finest martial arts programs available at an affordable price! This commitment produces martial artists recognized with Korean Kukkiwon certification both nationally and internationally.
